I have seen some cards made with the combination of Wood Textures designer series paper and the Painted Harvest stamp set and wanted to make a few sympathy cards with the combination...

The sentiment is from Kindness and Compassion and I added some linen thread for an accent.

More March Paper Pumpkin Ideas

Here are a few more alternative ideas for the March Paper Pumpkin kit.  I put together a few graduation cards adding in a sentiment from the Well Said stamp set...

The numbers in the kit came in handy for these!

And a few more birthday cards using different pieces in the kit.  I altered several of them by cutting them down...

Finally, I cut the insert down to just the cake and popped it up on a card base adding candles behind it and a ribbon over the top.

You can still order next month's kit which will have some of Stampin'' Up!'s Distinktive stamps inside!  Just go here to get started.

March Paper Pumpkin Alternative Project

Last month's Paper Pumpkin kit was a fun card kit with pop outs on the inside of the cards.  I put together a couple of them the way they were intended and then went off on my own...

the inside...

The first alternative is a 12 x 12 scrapbook layout using the card bases cut down to create photo mats.  I also added several of the accessories for accents and popped up the cakes with Stampin' dimensionals.

I maybe should have doubled up the Stampin' dimensionals to pop the cakes up a little more...

More alternative ideas to come!  Don't forget to sign up for this month's kit by April 10th!

Rectangle Romance

This is another card I used for a card exchange recently showcasing the Rectangle Stitched framelits and Forever Lovely stamp set. There are three different sizes of rectangles die cut from on this card - the first one I cut from the card base and will use for other cards.  The second is a layer of Crumb Cake and the last is the sentiment layer.

I added some Floral Romance specialty paper behind the front of the card that had been die cut and then added another pattern from the same collection on the front behind the sentiment layer.  There are also some Happiness blooms enamel dots added for accents.
