Peachy Keen

I had to sneak this one in before the stamp set I used is unavailable so I am sending out two posts today.

I will fully admit that I am not the most organized scrapbooker and I think it comes from the fact that I started when my kids were a few years old and tried to go backwards and forwards with and get it all in.  That being said, sometimes I scrap pictures more than once, LOL!  I do have separate books for each of my children so that is generally not a big deal, but since my sister doesn't scrapbook I can also pass along some pages with duplicate pictures if I need to :)

I wanted to focus on the fun picture of my nieces on this layout and just added some colorful accents around it.

The stamped images come from Peachy Keen (Occasions catalog) and I have used the On Film Framelits for a few of the pieces as well as the Ovals Framelits for the title piece.

More of that thick Strawberry Slush baker's twine, some Sale-a-bration cork adhesive pieces and My Paper Pumpkin kit baker's twine...

Some delicate details lace tape, basic rhinestones and In Color boutique details finish out the elements.

Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar ink
Lullaby designer series paper
Whisper White, Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush card stock
Delicate details lace tape

Beautiful Song

The Late Night Stampers challenge right now is Mother's Day projects and I found this fun wooden cutting board one day that I decided to decorate.  The saying "Family is like music, some high notes, some low notes, but always a beautiful song" was something I found on Pinterest.

The Naturals Composition specialty paper went well with the saying so I layered that on some Soft Sky and rounded the corners.

Then, I used some delicate details lace tape, 5/8" chevron naturals ribbon and Pistachio Pudding ruffle stretch trim as accents.

A little flower from the Everything Eleanor stamp set in Strawberry Slush ink, a few more details (including a Strawberry Slush spiral flower) and you have a fun transformation!

Everything Eleanor
Strawberry Slush ink
Soft Sky, Whisper White, Pistachio Pudding card stock
Naturals composition specialty paper
delicate details lace tape
Pistachio Pudding ruffle stretch trim

2nd Grade!

This is another retreat weekend project - I had to take a break from cards for awhile and work on something different!  I took my daughter's 2nd grade class picture and decided to use this small printer's tray to display it.

Each of the top sections had a different color of card stock that has been embossed with an embossing folder before I did any other decorating.

I used the Alphabet press folder for the one on the left and then added some Delicate Details lace tape, gold baker's twine, a heart from the essentials wooden elements collection and layered sentiment from Hip Notes.

In the middle I used some die cuts from the On Film framelits collection, the Chevron folder and Watercolor wonder washi tape.  Lastly, I used the Decorative Dots folder, more washi tape and the ABC-123 Sketch Alphabet & Numbers stamp set.

The day when I pull this out to display for her high school graduation will come a lot sooner than I think (or want it to)!

Hey There Friend!

So on Wednesday, I found this little box in my mailbox - woo hoo!

I had to play right away :)  I added only a couple small pieces of card stock, delicate details lace tape, white gel pen and some Tempting Turquoise ink to what came in the kit and didn't alter the design very much this time.

The strip above is Pumpkin Pie..

and this one is Real Red...

and this is the one with the white gel pen and delicate details lace tape.  As I said, not a lot of altering this time, but so quick and fun to put together!

I had to do one exactly like the design too, LOL! with the exception of the Tempting Turquoise ink on the sentiment.

Want to have your own kit at your door next month?  Go over to www.mypaperpumpkin.com and sign up, please use my name when it asked for a demonstrator (Kris Sobolik).

Have a wonderful day!

Fill your heart with happy

A friend asked me to make her a baby canvas similar to some other ones I have made in the past, but this time she wanted a name on it.

It turned out quite a bit different, but hope she still likes it!!  The letters come from a retired die set called serif essentials alphabet.

I used the Baby Firsts and Cuddles & Kisses stamp sets along with Polka Dot Parade and International Bazaar designer series papers.

Some retired ribbon, delicate details lace tape, designer builder brad and buttons round out the embellishments.

I made a card to go along with it as well in the same theme.

If you have not tried the Delicate Details Lace Tape, you don't know what you are missing :)  It is super easy to use and quick to add a little something to a project.

On this card, I sponged some Primrose Petals on the edge of my Whisper White and then added the lace tape over the top, but you can also use it as a mask by placing it on your card stock, adding color and then removing it.

The base for my sentiment is actually some packaging that comes with the Artisan Embellishment kit and I thought it would be fun to add it to this card.

Supplies:
Pursuit of Happiness
Whisper White card stock
Primrose Petals ink
Whisper White card stock
1/8" Certainly Celery taffeta ribbon
Delicate Details Lace tape
basic rhinestones
