Watercolor Thank You

The Late Night Stampers challenge that starts today is Clean and Simple with Bling.  I chose to use the Watercolor Thank You stamp and add a couple strips of designer series paper.

The designer series paper comes from the Moonlight and Confetti Celebration collections and I added a little bow made from Strawberry Slush thick baker's twine.

And of course, the bling is basic rhinestones.

Come and join us or just check out the design team samples

The baker's twine is just wrapped around the Smoky Slate card stock and taped down in the  back with washi tape to hold it in place.

Supplies:
Life's Adventure
Point and Click
Memento Black, Pumpkin Pie, Bermuda Bay ink

June My Paper Pumpkin

Pinwheels make such fun decorations for parties and this month's My Paper Pumpkin kit had 24 of them in it!  I decided to make a table decoration using a little metal bucket I had on hand.

To keep the straws (which also come in the kit, aren't they cute?) in the container without shifting I used some foam wrapped in white wrapping paper (I still have some left from when Stampin' Up! sold it).  Then I added a few pieces of Maritime designer series paper and used my bone folder to curl them.

There are some cute little banner pieces and stamps included in the kit and I added a couple of those as well.

Fun for any celebration as a table decoration, don't you think?

Happy Box

From time to time I see opportunities to donate door prizes for fundraisers, etc. and usually like to put together a basket of cards or a premade scrapbook.  It is fun to use different things to put the cards into instead of a just a basket and I found this wooden box in the dollar section at a store I shop at often.

I decided to use the Flashback designer series paper to decorate the sides and matted it on Real Red card stock.  The, I wrapped some thick baker's twine around it three times and added a Starburst Sayings sentiment that was die cut with the Starburst framelits.

Again, it is matted on Real Red card stock and I added a 2014-2016 In Color clothespin for a little fun.

Supplies:
Starburst Sayings
Pool Party ink
Real Red, Very Vanilla card stock
Flashback dsp
Thick baker's twine
Starburst framelits
2014-2016 In color clothespins

Bravo!

This is a different combination for me, using a couple colors that I don't pull out all that often.  I chose to use Tangerine Tango ink with my Gorgeous Grunge stamp in the background and used Tempting Turquoise ink and card stock for the sentiment and mat.

I added a little piece of Gold Soiree specialty paper and some Chevron ribbon for some texture and fun.

Supplies:

Traveler Birthday and Blog Candy Winner

Well we only had 3 people try for my Blog Candy I guess and the winner is Vicki!  Congrats, please e-mail me your mailing address so I can send out your goodies :)

I have chosen a masculine theme for today's card using the Traveler stamp set and Typeset specialty paper.  I layered some modern label punches for my sentiment (from Bloom with Hope) and added a few neutrals buttons as well.

I think this combination of specialty paper and stamp set go together pretty well and will probably use it together often.

Supplies:
Traveler, Bloom with Hope
Black Stazon ink
Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake card stock
Typeset specialty paper

Just a Little Something

I had to experiment with the new Typeset specialty paper, the paper is lightweight and looks like it came from a vintage book - love it already!  I chose the French Fry Box Bigz L for the first project with it and it was very easy to work with.

After I put the box together, I added a belly band of Gold Soiree specialty paper, a 1 3/4" circle punched from Flashback DSP and then a sentiment cut out with the Cards and Labels framelits.

I added a couple little fun items that can be used as a door prize - hand sanitizer and samples of linen thread and Strawberry Slush thick baker's twine.

Supplies:
Num Num
Garden Green ink
Very Vanilla card stock

Blended Birthday

Well, here is that Blended Bloom image again, but this time I used some Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities markers on it along with the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities for the center.  I have never worked with alcohol markers before so I have a lot of work ahead of me to master using them!!

The center of the flower is cut out and popped up which gives it a nice 3d effect.  I used a little Moonlight designer series paper and a sentiment from Bloom with Hope.  The ribbon is the Blackberry Bliss stitched satin and it is so easy to work with!

Supplies:
Blended Bloom, Bloom with Hope
Blackberry Bliss ink
Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry blendabilities
Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White, Hello Honey card stock
Moonlight dsp
modern label punch
chevron folder
Blackberry Bliss stitched satin ribbon
linen thread

Birthday Surprise

One of the first stamp sets I was draw to in the new catalog that wasn't a sentiment set was Draw the Line (page 35), I know I will be using it quite a bit both on cards and scrapbook pages.

I paired it with some Maritime designer series paper and the Birthday Surprise set.  My button actually started out white, but I used the darkest Coastal Cabana blendabilities marker to make it a different color!  Just be sure to let it dry thoroughly before you handle it if you try this yourself :)

Supplies:
Birthday Surprise, Draw the Line
Bermuda Bay ink
Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party card stock
Maritime DSP
2 1/2" circle, 1 3/4" circle, 1" circle punch
