Sweet Basics

Paper, paper, paper, I love the designs in so many of the designer series paper sets like I always do and love to play around with them.  In this set, I used the Birthday Basics dsp and Sketched birthdays stamp set.

I think the color combination in this paper set is just awesome too - Crisp Cantaloupe is quickly becoming one of my go to colors.

Supplies:
Sketched Birthdays
Birthday Basics dsp
Very Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple, Crisp Cantaloupe, Basic Gray and Gumball Green card stock
Raspberry Ripple and Crisp Cantaloupe classic ink
Decorative Label punch
Large Oval punch

Easter Treat Pouch

The Late Night Stampers challenge this week is to make a treat holder or place setting.  After thinking about it for awhile I decided I wanted to use the Pop 'n Cuts card base somehow as a treat holder and this is what I came up with.

I cut the base out of some Polka Dot Parade dsp and scored it at 5" and 6" from the side with the slits in it.

Then, I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock - 3" x 6 1/4" and scored it at 1" on all sides to make the little box inside.

I added a few too many jelly beans to the inside of the cello bag because it doesn't want to sit up straight, LOL!

The little box is attached to the base with glue dots and I used my crop o dile to make a hole in the top of the closed base to add some ribbon to tie it up.

The eggs are cut using the ovals collection framelits and I stamped the card stock with the Distressed Dots and Hello Doily stamp sets before I cut them.

Hope you come over and play along this week!

Imagine

Another stamp set I will miss - Simply Soft which is one of the hostess sets.  I have used a technique that I have shown you before on the background using acryllic paint, an impressions folder and a sanding block.  It has become another favorite technique of mine and is really very simple to create.

The flower image is colored in with Wild Wasabi, Blushing Bride, So Saffron and Pretty in Pink markers and all the images are stamped in Soft Suede.

Supplies:
Simply Soft
Loving Thoughts
Soft Suede, Pretty in Pink, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla card stock
Soft Suede, So Saffron, Blushing Bride, Pretty in Pink, Wild Wasabi classic ink and markers
large oval punch
scallop oval punch
Victoria crochet trim ribbon

Fancy Fabric Flowers Take Two

This is another version of the card I shared with you yesterday using the Fancy Flower punch with fabric behind it.  The fabric today is from the Twitterpatted collection available in the Occasions Mini catalog.

I again popped up the embossed layer and added a brad to the middle of the flower, this time an antique brad.  The sentiment is from the retired stamp set Because I Care and the ribbon is some Old Olive taffeta ribbon.

TSCC182

I finally am getting around to Mary Jo's sketch challenge this week!

I used the Plane and Simple stamp set with the new Well Worn Designer Series paper, vintage tags and Blue Denim Jean Ribbon.

The ovals are made with the Ovals Die and the Designer Frames impressions folder.  I cut out the impression after I ran the Cajun Craze through the Big Shot and the inside image is punched out with the large oval punch.

Colors:
So Saffron, Not Quite Navy, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla, River Rock

Bunnies and Chocolate

My friend, Patti Kerlin, showed a bunch of us how to make these cute little bunnies with Hershey bars about a month ago and I thought I would make my kids and nieces some for Easter.  I decided to use dies and punches for mine...

These are super simple and I know I have seen some other samples of bunnies that are much more elaborate, but they were fun and quick to make.

I used the larger scallop on the scallop circle #2 die, the 2 largest oval punches, part of the 3 heart punch and the 1/2" circle punch.  I used Blushing Bride, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso card stock and the white gel pen.  The papers are from the hostess level 1 paper pack.
