Birthday Gift Box

I love making little gift boxes and decorating them although there are times I don't find enough time to do it.  These White Gift Boxes are a great solution for that - the box is ready to fold and assemble - all you have to do is decorate!

For this one, I used some Blooms and Bliss designer series paper for the outside and top of the box, then I added the acetate sleeve over the top of that.

The doily and t-shirt are attached to the acetate...For the t-shirt, I stamped on Whisper White and colored it in with the Flirty Flamingo marker before adding the little flowers and basic rhinestones.

The top has another doily with a punched out piece of designer series paper behind it and a bow on top.

Supplies:
Custom Tee
Basic Black, Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo ink and markers
Whisper White card stock
Blooms and Bliss dsp
Sweet Sugarplum glitter ribbon
lace doiles
basic rhinestones
Dapper Denim ruched ribbon
T-shirt framelits

Truck Birthday

I haven't shared a sample with you yet that shows off the Sale-a-bration stamp set called Tasty Trucks so I thought I would start today!  There are some really cute images that go with the truck including pancakes, cupcakes, ice cream cones, hot dogs and a taco...

I stamped the cupcake randomly in the background on my Real Red card stock base for this card and added some Cupcakes and Carousels designer series paper.

I stamped the truck image on Whisper White and used my blender pen and ink pads to color it in, I think next time I may use Watercolor paper to I don't have to worry about using too much liquid.

Supplies:
Tasty Trucks (SAB 2017)
Basic Black, Real Red, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay ink
Real Red, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White card stock
brights enamel shapes

All Star Birthday

I realized that I have very few birthday cards for kids in my inventory and thought the Custom Tee stamp set would be a great one to use for a few.

To add some splash to the backgrounds, I used the Happy Celebrations stamp set on two different layers of card stock behind the die cut shirt.

Supplies:
Custom Tee, Happy Celebrations
Real Red, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango ink
Pacific Point, Real Red, Very Vanilla card stock

January Paper Pumpkin Alternative

This is another alternative project you could create using the January 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit.  I started out with a Rich Razzleberry 12" x 12" card stock and added some Tempting Turquoise and Calypso Coral card stock.

I cut down one of the boxes to use it as a pull our journaling card holder and added some banners, enamel shapes and a gold binder clip.

Better Late Than Never!

Well I am finally getting around to sharing January Paper Pumpkin projects with you! I got a little behind when we were on vacation and then my daughter had my box since she used it to make Valentine's for her class and teacher...

The photo above is the adorable little bag that the kit was intended for.

Miniature sized candies fit inside it perfectly and Maddie had a lot of fun making them for her friends.

I also made a card using parts of the kit to share with you (and tomorrow I will have another project for you using the same items!).  I just cut down the box and added some card stock, sequins and metallic thread.

Supplies:
January 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit
Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral card stock

Enjoy Life

I wanted lots of color and different textures on this card when I was putting it together.  To achieve that, I went with Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay ink, a Cucumber Crush doily and some metallic thread and enamel shapes.

The circle is cut out using the Stitched Shapes framelits and I punched the banner out on the sentiment with the triple banner punch.

Supplies:
Suite Sentiments, Playful Backgrounds
Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry ink
Whisper White, Bermuda Bay card stock
metallic thread
metallic enamel shapes

The Best Is Yet To Come

I was playing around with the Balloon Pop Up Thinlit dies that are in the Occasions catalog one day and came up with this card.  First, I took a piece of 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Crumb Cake and used the large die on one end.

Then, I cut out a few balloons using Real Red and Dapper Denim card stock and added them to the Crumb Cake with glue dots.  Behind the die cut area I added a piece of Sending Love glassine sheets that had Real Red cardstock behind it and added a couple pieces of Dapper Denim ruched ribbon.

Then, some stamping, enamel dots and a strip of Dapper Denim that was embossed with the Hexagons dynamic folder to complete it.

Supplies:
Balloon Adventures
Dapper Denim, Real Red ink
Dapper Denim, Real Red, Crumb Cake card stock
Sending Love glassine sheets
enamel dots
ruched ribbon

To You!

Today's card is created using another stamp set in the Occasions catalog called Happy Celebrations.  What I love about it is the large words and the layering options.

I chose to add some Falling in Love designer series paper behind the sentiment layers and added some Very Vanilla 1/4" satin ribbon around it.

The Happy is double stamped with two of the "happy" layering stamps, one if Crumb Cake and the other in Soft Suede.  The swoosh and "birthday to you" are also from the same set.  To complete it, I added some basic pearls.

Supplies:
Happy Celebrations
Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Soft Suede ink
Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede card stock
1/4" Very Vanilla satin ribbon
Basic pearls
Falling in Love designer series paper

I've Got This

The sentiment on this card is the reason I purchased this stamp set Sending Thoughts even though I like others in the set.  I know it will be used quite a bit around here...

I paired it with the Butterfly Basics stamp set and the Honeycomb embossing folder.  The striped piece of card stock behind the flower layer is a random Project Life card.

Supplies:
Butterfly Basics, Sending Thoughts
Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Wild Wasabi, Sweet Sugarplum ink and markers
Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Crumb Cake card stock
honeycomb folder
linen thread
Stylish Stems framelits

Building Me Up

The Nailed It bundle is fun to play with when you need a masculine card for any reason.  It coordinates perfectly with the Urban Underground specialty paper as well and I have used all those elements in the card today.

I stared by stamping my tools on Very Vanilla card stock (also the sentiment and outline) and then die cut them with the framelits.  Next, I added some color to the tools with the Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Delightful Dijon and Crushed Curry markers.

A few layers of card stock and specialty paper, Stampin' dimensionals and a Urban Underground embellishment and the card is completed.

Supplies:
Nailed it
Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Delightful Dijon and Crushed Curry ink and markers
Very Vanilla card stock
Urban Underground specialty paper and embellishments

Valentine

Another day with two cards instead of one today!  Valentine's Day is also my anniversary (19 years!) so I have an anniversary card and a Valentine's Day card using the same stamp set to share with you today.

The first card starts with a die cut using the Stitched Shapes framelits and the 2" circle punch.  I added some Fabulous Foil designer acetate as my window and put in some sequins and Sending love embellishments.

Then I added some stamping and a tiny envelope and note card with a little bow on top.

The Valentine's Day card was one in my stamp a stack last weekend using the Seals with Love stamp set and Fruit Stand designer series paper.  You will see some of the same elements in this card as the one above.

Sealed with Love
Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron ink
Whisper White, Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder, Crumb Cake card stock
3/8" metallic ribbon (SAB 2017)

For Your Kindness

Since I missed a couple days of posting last week, I thought I would give you two cards today, both with the same theme but a few differences...

I chose to use the Special Reason stamp set that is in the Occasions catalog along with the So Very Much set in the Sale-a-bration catalog.  One of the cards also uses the Delicate Details set (also Sale-a-bration).

On the first one, I chose to use some Cupcakes and Carousels designer series paper in my background and added lots of tiny little basic pearls to the flower centers.

The second card has a stamped image from the Delicate Details set in the background as well as a piece of Early Espresso card stock. I also added a piece of Peekaboo Peach ruched ribbon to the corner of the sentiment layer.

Supplies:
So Very Much (SAB 2017), Delicate Details (SAB 2017), Special Reason
Early Espresso, Peekaboo Peach, Wisteria Wonder, Wild Wasabi, So Saffron ink

Card Playing Fun

The kids received a few new card games for Christmas and it never fails that the cardboard box they come in gets ripped and won't hold the cards anymore... Awhile ago I found a little wooden card box at a craft store and altered it for a Phase 10 card game so the kids wanted me to do the same for the new games.

Finding the boxes was probably slightly more difficult than altering them, it was a little difficult to find the right size since they didn't have the one I had purchased before.  We found a couple that worked ok though and here is what we came up with...

The Farkle Flip box uses Fruit Stand designer series paper and some of the paper from the December Paper Pumpkin kit.  I just matted those designer papers on card stock and added them to the box with tear and tape adhesive.  There is some ribbon around the top - 3/8" metallic ribbon from the Sale-a-bration catalog - and a couple buttons to hide the ends of the ribbon.

Each title is stamped with retired alphabet stamps and popped up on the top of the box.

The Uno box - and yes we had Uno in the house before last Christmas but the cards lost their box along the way...

I used the Urban Underground specialty paper for both the Uno and Uno Dare boxes as well as the same 3/8" metallic ribbon around the top.

The long box works well for a game with lots of cards - you can put two piles on the inside instead of one.

Supplies:
Alphabet stamps
Basic Black, Crushed Curry ink
Smoky Slate, Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black card stock
Fruit Stand, Urban Underground dsp
December 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit
buttons
3/8" metallic ribbon (SAB 2017)
tear and tape adhesive
wooden boxes
