Painted With Love Birthday

While I don't make too many Valentine's Day cards other than for my kids, husband and nieces I wanted to try the Painted with Love specialty designer series paper without the matching stamp set.  It can be used for much more than just Valentine's Day and the patterns are really fun and bright!

I picked a couple of the patterns to use together and then used the Special Celebrations stamp set and Everyday label punch for the sentiment.  To finish it off, I added some Shimmer ribbon (SAB 2018).

Musical Brusho

Here is another example of my Brusho Crystals experiment...When I played around with it, I did several different pieces using different color combinations.  After the watercolor paper dried thoroughly, I stamped the Sheet Music background stamp over the top of it with Soft Suede ink.

Then, I stamped the guitar from the Epic Celebrations (SAB 2018) set on some Wood Textures designer series paper and cut it out with my paper snips and layered my cards.

Playful Thank You

When I put this cards together I wanted to kind of keep the theme of random dots that was in the design of the Foil Frenzy specialty paper piece I had chosen.  To do that, I chose to use the Playful Background stamp set with some Lemon Lime Twist and Island Indigo ink.  

Then I chose one of the sentiments from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set to complete it.  On the inside there is a white panel with some more dots stamped on it.

Get Well Wishes

The Get Well card I have to show you today is probably the first one in quite awhile that doesn't use any Sale-a-bration items (current or retired)!  I chose to used some Fresh Florals designer series paper and one of my favorite sentiment stamp sets - Teeny Tiny Wishes.

The sentiment and leaves are stamped on a piece of Whisper White card stock that is die cut with the Stitched Shapes framelits and I added a few images on the Basic Gray card base using Basic Gray ink.

Anniversary Stars

Today I have another anniversary card to share with you that uses some current items along with a few retired favorites.  I started with a piece of Wild Wasabi that was embossed with the Oh My Stars folder and added some Year of Cheer specialty paper and Glitter tape to it.  

Then, on my sentiment layer, I stamped some images from the Background Bits stamp set with Silver metallic ink and the sentiment from Milestone Moments in Elegant Eggplant.

I have again used the Southern Serenade stamp set for the sentiment on my card today.  It is stamped on an oval cut out with the Big Shot and the Stitched Shapes framelits and I added a little piece of Shimmer ribbon (SAB 2018) behind it before popping it up on the card front.

My Pool Party layer was die cut using the Eclectic Layers thinlits and I added some Petal Garden designer series paper both behind the die cut and along the side of the Pool Party card stock.

So Blessed

I really love the lace design in the Southern Serenade stamp set that can be found in the Occasions catalog and I have been experimenting with different ink colors for that stamp.  On the cards below, I used Marina Mist and Perfect Plum ink with some Basic Black for the flower image over the top.

I paired these images with some retired designer series paper and used a couple of the different sentiments that come in the set, there is also a Happy Birthday.

Happy Anniversary

During Sale-a-bration this time around, there are a couple products that you can earn free for purchasing $100 in product instead of $50 - which means they are bigger items...The stamp set I used today is called Happy Wishes and it is one of those products.  It is a stamp set that comes in two cases, with lots of sayings to help you out with many different occasions.

I chose to use the happy and anniversary sentiments for this card and decided to leave the flowers along the bottom of the happy uncolored.  To break up the Tranquil Tide card base a little, I added a piece of Naturally Eclectic designer series paper.

Good Times Better

I mentioned a couple days ago that I have seen some amazing samples of projects using the Brusho Crystals Colour lately and today I used a stamp set called Waterfront and I have probably seen just as many fabulous samples using this new product!  

I love the different designs and color combinations I have seen people play with and can't wait to do some more playing myself!

This card uses one of the Sale-a-bration stamp sets I used on a guitar card last week - this time I chose a different focal image - the tennis shoes.  The shoes are colored in with Pool Party Stampin' Blends and the Lemon Lime Twist marker.

In the background I used some Picture Perfect designer series paper and a piece of the Foil Frenzy specialty paper.  The sentiment is punched out with a new punch - the 1 3/8" scallop circle.

Brusho Crystals and Lovely As a Tree

A few days ago I played around with the Brusho Crystal Colour kit trying some combinations on both Glossy White and watercolor card stock.  The card below uses Glossy paper and water to blend in the colors - I think next time I used the Glossy paper I will try alcohol instead of water...

I like the background but have seen some amazing examples others have created (lots of practice ahead of me!) so I plan to keep trying it out.

Amazing Congratulations

It is so much fun to play with the FREE Sale-a-bration items!  On the cards below I have used three different free items - Tutti-Frutti cards and envelopes, Bubbles and Fizz designer series paper and the Shimmer ribbon pack. 

One of the really cute stamp sets in the Occasions catalog is called Amazing Congratulations and it has a great two step (or three step if you add the outline image like I have on these cards) congratulations. Although I didn't use them on today's cards, there are also some little words to make the card sentiment specialized for friend, baby, couple, etc.

January Stamp Club Projects

For our monthly Stamp Club projects this time around, I went with lots of products that are in the Occasions catalog and the Sale-a-bration brochure.  

We started out with the Birthday Wit stamp set and paired it with the Tutti-Frutti cards and envelopes (SAB 2018) and some Picture Perfect Party designer series paper.  I love that these cards have matching envelopes!

Next, we used the Heartfelt Blooms (SAB 2018) stamp set along with some True Gentleman designer series paper.

And finally on the layout, we paired the Petal Palette stamp set with some Foil Frenzy specialty designer series paper and added a few Tutti-Frutti adhesive backed sequins as accents.

Lots of Lavender Pizza Box

I decided to play around with some 3"x 3" cards and a mini pizza box one day and put together this set using Petal Palette stamp set and a few Sale-a-bration items.

On the box, I used the Lots of Lavender stamp set, some Shimmer ribbon and Bubbles and Fizz designer series paper - all of which are Sale-a-bration items.

For the cards, I used the same products along with some Whisper White card stock.

December Paper Pumpkin Alternative Cards

These are the last alternative projects for the December Paper Pumpkin kit that I will share with you.  I still actually have a few pieces leftover!

The first two cards use the fronts of the smaller card's card base over the top of one of the die cuts and then an embossed piece of card stock.  The embossing was done with the Scattered Sequins dynamic impressions folder. I also added some Shimmer ribbon (SAB 2018) to each one.

The last two cards are just slight variations of the design for the larger card as I played with how I attached the ribbon and banners.

December Paper Pumpin Alternative Project

Today's alternative project using the December Paper Pumpkin kit is a 12" x 12" layout with 2 mats for 4" x 6" pictures as well as a little banner for some journaling.

I again used the die cuts and glimmer paper, this time they are layered over the smaller card bases that are cut in half.

I added some Petal Garden designer series paper and rhinestones for accents.

December Paper Pumpkin and Alternate Card Idea

I finally had time to play with the December Paper Pumpkin kit...It seems like when the kids are home on break, I don't get too much time to create.   The first picture is of the cards as they were intended to be...

The layered die cuts and glimmer paper really add a lot to the cards and after I made the first of each design, I decided to create a bunch of alternative ideas for you.  Below is the first alternative card idea and I will have two more days of other options coming up as well!

Other than the card base a few tutti-fruitti adhesive backed sequins, Shimmer ribbon (SAB 2018 and a piece of Lemon Lime Twist card stock, the elements of the card are from the kit.

Heartfelt Blooms

This is a pretty simple Thinking of You card using the Heartfelt Blooms (SAB 2018) stamp set and some of the Shimmer ribbon pack (SAB 2018).  Both items can be earned FREE with product purchases of $50 during Sale-a-bration.  

The flower image is stamped in Perfect Plum ink and the sentiment is stamped with Tranquil Tide.  I have seen several cards that have the flower image stamped in black and colored in with markers or Stampin' Blends which look quite stunning.

In the Sale-a-bration catalog, there is a stamp set called Epic Celebrations and it is one that I was drawn to right away because it can be used for teenager cards.  Having a couple of those in the house as well as several nieces and nephews we send cards to, that was a set that I wanted to get right away.

There are images of tennis shoes, a guitar and headphones as well as a couple sayings and a background type stamp.  I stamped the guitar on some Soft Suede card stock and then stamped it again on a scrap, cut it out and popped it up over the first stamped image.  There are also some images stamped into the Crumb Cake card base and a couple pieces of True Gentleman designer series paper on the card.

Sequined Joy

In the Occasions catalog, there are some fun Silver mini gable boxes that measure 4" x 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" and come with 12 boxes for $8.00.  I left one of them folded as it comes and used the new Scattered Sequins dynamic impressions folder to emboss it before decorating the outside.

There are several different ribbons around the outside including some Sale-a-bration ribbon from last year and also some in the new 2018 Sale-a-bration catalog called the Shimmer ribbon pack (3 colors).  I added a tag stamped using the Cheers to the Year stamp set and some adhesive backed sequins as well.

Yes, I used the Birthday Wit stamp set again, this time the sentiment is just plain Happy Birthday though!! The dotted image on the sentiment layer is also from that stamp set.
