Falling leaves

Our challenge at Late Night Stampers this week is Thanksgiving themed projects - cards, home decor, thank you gifts, etc.

I made 4 single layer cards (well two of them have a sentiment layer) using the French Foliage stamp set and added a belly band around the cards and envelopes.

I added some clear block stamping behind the leaves to add some color, but I didn't want to make the impression solid because I was going for the weathered look.

Supplies:
French Foliage
Fabulous Phrases
Very vanilla, More Mustard, Soft Suede and Sahara Sand card stock
Cajun Craze, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede and More Mustard classic ink
2 3/8" scallop circle punch
1 3/4" circle punch
word window punch
modern label punch
vintage wallpaper impressions folder
regals button
hemp twine

Open Sea

I needed some more masculine cards for my stash and went to The Open Sea for this one.

I used Sherrill Graff's idea for the faux seal - you melt down embossing powders on aluminum foil in an oven that has been heated to 200 degrees and then shut off.  You can make a bunch and store them in a sealed plastic bag and then when you are ready to use them, use your heat tool to reheat, ink your stamp with versamark and then press it into the warm embossing powder chip.

Supplies:
The Open Sea
Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla card stock
Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Night of Navy classic ink
gold and clear embossing powder
versamark
heat tool
hemp twine
glue dots
sponges

Petite Pocket

Well, this is one of those dies for the Big Shot that I looked at and thought, I don't need that one.  Of course, many talented people have created some examples that changed my mind so here is my first attempt at playing with it.

I thought it would make a good door prize for some upcoming event...maybe my Stamp A Stack next weekend :)

I used Cherry Cobbler card stock, some Holly Berry Bouquet fabric, the boho blossoms punch, Season of Joy stamp set and basic pearls.  A very quick and easy little project!

Remember, you can get the Big Shot FREE this month if you sign up as a demonstrator!

Thoughts and prayers

Today I am sharing another sympathy card, this time with the challenge guidelines for our Late Night Stampers group using leaves or trees.

After I stamped the tree and sentiment on my Very Vanilla card stock, I used some sponges to add a little More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler and Cajun Craze.  I think if I made this card again, I would leave out the Cherry Cobbler sponging and maybe do some Crumb Cake or Soft Suede instead.

Supplies:
Thoughts and Prayers
Very Vanilla, More Mustard, Early Espresso card stock
Spice Cake DSP
Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard, Cajun Craze classic ink
vintage trinkets
Victoria crochet trim ribbon
scallop edge punch
sponges

Joy

I pulled out my heat gun for this card, it doesn't get a lot of use because for some reason I stay away from embossing, but I like the effect on this card.  The "Joy" stamp is embossed with gold embossing powder although it doesn't really show too well in this picture.

supplies:
The sounding joy
Very Vanilla, Bashful Blue, Soft Suede card stock
Bashful blue classic ink
versamark
gold embossing powder
Vintage wallpaper impressions folder
vanilla seam binding
linen thread
subtles buttons
Vanilla shimmer smooch spritz

Simple Dasher

On this card, I used some First Edition Specialty paper and matched it with
Old Olive and Real Red card stock.

I used the retired (but on the clearance rack) spiral punch, Dasher and Come to Bethlehem stamp sets and the Top Note die.  There is a little bit of silver glass glitter on the antlers to add a little sparkle and I sponged the card with Chocolate Chip classic ink, which is also what I used for stamping.

TSSC196

Mary Jo has a great sketch challenge this week and I am so glad I have time to participate again!

I used Paisley Petals DSP and combined it with Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White card stock.

Supplies:
Four Frames stamp set
Soft Suede, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz and Baja Breeze card stock
Pear Pizzazz, Pretty in Pink and Baja Breeze markers
Designer frames impressions folder
Decorative label punch
Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake seam binding

Glimmery Variations

You may have noticed that I don't use a lot of glitter in my projects.  It is probably the mess that keeps me away from it, I am not really sure.  The Glimmer paper we have in Silver and Red is fun to play with and not messy!

I made two versions of the same card using all the pieces I punched out using the Blossom Bouquet triple layer punch.

I added some 1/4" black grosgrain ribbon to this one and both have a Real Red layer that was run through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots impressions folder.

Ornate Joy

I used some Holly Berry Bouquet specialty paper and fabric on this card which also features the Ornate Blossom stamp and the sentiment is from a retired stamp set.

I used Whisper White, Real Red and Wild Wasabi for my colors and added a little safety pin vintage trinket to my fabric knot.

I used the Snow burst impressions folder on the Garden Green card stock and the Marina Mist layer is textured card stock.

Nature Walk Thanks

This is one of the cards my club girls received this month with their orders made using the Nature Walk stamp set.  After stamping and assembling, I used the Log Cabin smooch spritz all over it and I like the way it turned out.  I tend to stay away from the darker smooch colors, but this time it worked well.

Supplies:
Nature Walk
Always Artichoke, Chocolate chip, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla card stock
Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake classic ink
curly label punch

Tough Color Combination

Our Late Night Stampers Challenge this week is a color combination of Night of Navy, Cajun Craze, and River Rock and I have to tell you this is kind of a tough one for me.  I am not a big fan of Cajun Craze and don't even have any card stock in that color at the moment.

I used the some Well Worn designer series paper and added some Very Vanilla card stock to the combination.  The button is from the Rich Regals collection and I used some hemp twine and the stamp set Curly Cute.

(Sorry about the picture quality, I have a light bulb out on one of my lights and need to get a new one!)

Chunky Frame

These fun chunky frames have shown up on the clearance rack and are so fun to work with.  I made this one for a bridal shower gift for a sweet neighbor and awesome babysitter using some retired Love Letter Designer Series paper and some of the rhinestones that are also on the clearance rack right now.

The paper is applied to the frame with the multipurpose adhesive sheets and I used the Beautiful wings embosslit for the butterflies.

There is also a scrunched flower made with the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch and some fun retired ribbon.

I used the Mocha Morning Specialty Paper for this card and paired it with the faux mother of pearl technique and Christmas Wishes stamp set.  I added a line of Crumb Cake seam binding behind the image as well.

Letters to Santa boxed set

I recreated another project done by one of our awesome UStamp with Dawn and Friends designers, this time Jamie Adcock.

Her version had some all occasion cards and a different set of colors, but I thought a Christmas theme would be fun so I used the Punch Pals and Stitched Stockings stamp sets and the Letters to Santa designer series paper.

There is still lots of time to join us, come on over to http://www.ustampwithdawnandfriends.com/ and join the Paper Parade!

Letter

I found some fun letters on clearance at the M store last summer and happened to find the letters of my sister's girls so I thought I would make them another project.  These originally had decorations on the front of them, but I removed it, sanded them off and did my own thing.

The first one is covered with Flirtatious Fabric and on all the letters I used the multipurpose adhesive sheets to attach fabric and papers.

I added a little flower and ribbon to each of them.

This one uses the Beau Chateau Designer Series paper.

and the same flower...

The "n" is covered with retired Love Letter dsp.

and another flower, LOL!

Wicked Treats

The theme this week at Late Night Stampers is Halloween treats so I quickly made up a couple little holders that would work for lots of items - licorice, pencils, pixie sticks, etc.

I just took a piece of the Frightful Sight designer series paper that was 4" x 5" and folded it in half.  It is held together with snail adhesive on the side and then I crimped the bottom.  The half circle is made with the 1 3/8" circle punch.
Quick and easy treat holders that are great if you have a lot to make!

Supplies:
Wicked Cool stamp set
Frightful Sight DSP
Basic Black and Whisper White card stock
Basic Black and Cajun Craze classic ink
hemp twine
Cherry Cobbler/White baker's twine
Black 1/2" scallop dots ribbon
crimper tool
1 1/4" circle punch
1 3/8" circle punch
