Friends

I used the Vintage Wallpaper impressions folder again on this card - I need to
grab another one next time, LOL!

For this card I used my Soft Suede classic ink pad and inked up the side of the impressions folder that
does not have the raised image before I ran the Crumb Cake card stock through it.

What you end up with is a look similar to if you had double embossed.
In the close up, you can also see that I cut a really thin piece of Pear Pizzazz and threaded it through my ribbon instead of using thread.

Supplies:
Just Believe
Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede, Cumb Cake card stock
Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede classic ink

UStamp with Dawn and Friends I Heart the Holidays 2nd Project

Yeah!  I get to share with you the 2nd project I created for UStamp with Dawn and Friends I Heart the Holidays.  This time around it is a set of 6 cards and a box to hold them so it is a great little gift.

There is still lots of time to come over and join us - the designers have some incredible creations!

Creative Elements birthday

I tried a color on color card today and it actually didn't turn out how I planned in the beginning, but I think I like it anyway.

I used a Rich Razzleberry Base and the second layer is the same color, but I ran it through the Big Shot and the Vintage Wallpaper impressions folder.

The tag is from the Two Tags die and the little banner is from the Petal cone die.  So Saffron and Certainly Celery are the other two colors I went with and the tag is Confetti White.

Supplies:
Creative Elements
Bring on the Cake
Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Confetti White card stock
Rich Razzleberry classic ink
1 3/8" circle punch
scallop circle punch

Wicked Tearing

At Late Night Stamper we are tearing projects this week and the first one I am going to share with you is a Halloween card.

The Pumpkin Pie layer has been run through the Big Shot with the Spider Web impressions folder, but before I ran it through I added black ink to the raised side.  The side that is showing is the reverse of the impression.

The tag is from the two tags die nad the DSP on it comes from the Brights paper pack.  I used the Wicked Cool stamp set and sponged everything in Basic Black ink.

Supplies:
Wicked Cool
So Saffron, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black card stock
Brights DSP pack
Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie classic ink
Spider Web impressions folder
sponges
Two tags die
1 3/8" circle punch
1" circle punch
1 1/4" circle punch

You're on my mind

I decided to finally participate in the So Shelli Creative challenge after watching it for several months.  This month is a thinking of you challenge.

I combined the stamp sets French Foliage and Field Fowers along with Marina Mist, Wisteria Wonder, Wild Wasabi, Perfect Plum and Bashful Blue when I put this card together.

I stamped the first layer with the word stamp in French Foliage on the left edge and then the stamp that looks like raindrops over the whole piece.

On the Very Vanilla, I added Champagne Shimmer paint with some scrunched up saran wrap for a faux mother of pearl look before I stamped on it.  There are also faint raindrops over the flower image.  The flower is stamped with Wisteria Wonder and then the detail part over the top is stamped with Perfect Plum.  I added a little So Saffron with a sponge in the middle of the flowers as well.

My sentiment comes from the Word Play stamp set and is stamped on more of the faux mother of pearl card stock.  I also added a retired button and cut the side of a piece of Vanilla seam binding to use for a bow inside of it.

CCMC164

It has been so long since I shared a scrapbook page with you (or even created one!) that I thought I would used the Create with Connie and Mary sketch this week into a scrapbook
 page in My Digital Studio.

I have used the retired Love Letter DSP - one of the reasons I LOVE My Digital Studio is that even when my favorite designer series papers retire, I still have access to them if I purchase the downloads.
There are a couple little buttons in Riding Hood Red and they have tiny black knots of ribbon on them.  There is also a scallop punch with some black stitching going through it and I let my title be part of the picture.

Another sneak peek!

We are almost ready for the Holiday Mini catalog and here is another sneak peek for you!  I used both the Spice Cake designer series paper and the Spice Cake fabric on this card  for you (and another one of those fun little flowers!).

The stamp set is Just Believe and I also used the Vintage Wallpaper impressions folder on the Pool Party card stock.

Just a close up of the texture and the flower.

Supplies:
Just Believe
Spice Cake DSP and fabric
Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Soft Suede and Pool Party card stock

Claire

My niece, Claire, has been asking me to make a project for her like this one that I created for UStamp with Dawn and Friends Classes, Clubs and Camps.  I decided to do something different, but still just for her and give it to her as part of her birthday gift this fall.  Hopefully she doesn't look at my blog since her birthday isn't for another couple weeks :) but at almost 9 years old, I should be fairly safe!  I will share the projects I made for her sisters in the next couple weeks too.

The base of the project is another 12" x 12" x 1" board and I covered it with the Flirtatious fabric and frayed the edges a bit (I used the mutipurpose adhesive sheets to attach it).

I just love these flowers made with the scallop circles dies, they are so easy to put together!

It hangs on another piece of this pretty fabric tied around some eyelet hooks.

So, more of my favorite things for Late Night Stampers this week - fabric, lace ribbon border punch, basic rhinestones and buttons!

Take care

This is the card I used for our Designer Swap Around the World for the last round of UStamp with Dawn and Friends.   Speaking of the last round (which was our blog hop), you can still join us for FREE and get a chance to earn some fun prizes too.  http://www.ustampwithdawnandfriends.com/

Now about the card...I used shimmer white paper and brayered Wisteria Wonder on it randomly (I didn't want it to be perfect) and then I added some Marina Mist on the edges and all over.  Next I took a water mister and spritzed all over it, waited a couple seconds and then dabbed it off.

Supplies:
Love and Care stamp set
Shimmer white paper
Marina Mist, Wisteria Wonder card stock
5/8" Marina mist grosgrain ribbon

Favorite things

It is never difficult to pick some of my favorite things to scrap and stamp with, but narrowing them down...that is more difficult!  This week at Late Night Stampers, we are supposed to use some of our favorite things on our projects.

One of the things I really love is our fabric and the fact that you don't need to sew to use it.  This project is created by covering a folder with fabric and attaching it with glue stick.  The inside is a layer of card stock and the pockets are made from envelopes.

I used the stamp set Tagtastic and also the Designer Frames impressions folder for many of the cards - absolutely LOVE the impressions folders :)

Of course punches are fantastic as well and they are also used on the folder and the cards - fancy flower, extra large oval, 1 3/4" circle, 1" circle, lace ribbon border, 2 3/8" scallop circle.

And of course basic pearls!

I matched the fabric and designer series paper so that my paper is the retired Springtime Vintage and I used Rose Red, Pear Pizzazz, Pretty in Pink, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla card stock and inks.

I have a quick sneak peek for you from the upcoming Holiday Mini catalog that will be available September 1st.  This stamp set is called The Sounding Joy and I really love it!

I used Cherry Cobbler as my base and also as my second layer.  The base was embossed with the Northern Flurry impressions folder and I used Crumb Cake and Early Espresso classic ink.

Love and Sympathy

I really like this new stamp set from the 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog called Love and Sympathy.  It is a very simple, but elegant set and I know I will be using it quite a bit.

I made two cards that are basically the same except the layering card stock colors are different.  Each card uses Wisteria Wonder, Marina Mist and Wild Wasabi along with Whisper White.

The ribbon is a piece of 5/8" Marina Mist grosgrain ribbon that I cut down the middle and frayed and the border below it is made with the eyelet border punch.

I added a clip from the clips assortment as well.

CCMC162

There is a sketch challenge at Create with Connie and Mary again this week and their sketch is below.

Here is my interpretation....

The tiny little four petal flower in the center of the two small flowers is actually part of what is punched out when you use the lace ribbon border punch.  I have been thinking about what to do with those for a little while now so I am happy to have found a used for them :)  They fit perfectly over the bitty punch with the 4 petals.

Supplies:
Love and Care stamp set
Rose Red, Not Quite Navy, Lucky Limeaide, Bashful Blue and Whisper White card stock
Rose Red, Lucky Limeaide classic ink
3" circle die
2 3/8" scallop circle punch
1 3/4" circle punch
large oval punch
lace ribbon border punch
basic rhinestones
